OUR HISTORY
Founded in 2002 by Ecuadorian emigrants, Family Food Distributors. Inc began its operation aimed at providing traditional ethnic products to the Latino community in the United States.
Their founder associates developed this vision initially serving the Ecuadorian community and discovering a niche that had a high demand to satisfy. Once this first objective was fulfilled, the company expanded its offer to other markets with products from Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Mexico and Brazil, consolidating itself as an important Latin ethnic and specialties distributor.
The firm currently distributes more than 900 items, including Latin Americans the leading brands, reaching 1800 stores and supermarkets in 26 states such as New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Connecticut, Michigan, and others.
In 2004, Family Food Distributors.Inc, launches its own brand Mama Tere, which offers high quality products in various categories to satisfy the needs of the Latin American and international cuisine. Its portfolio of own brands has increased with the addition of: ECUATUN, Cocotal, Ricomar, Gran Ecuador, Quetzal and San Antonio, produced with high quality standards.
Today Family Food has become one of the leaders in the distribution and import of food and beverages for the entire Hispanic and specialty market. The growth of its infrastructure transformed Family Food into an important logistics chain, available for local and international trade.
